The team of Sage Health Centre is dedicated to providing support to individuals, families, medical professionals, employers, and referral agents with:

  • Answering general inquiries about our program
  • Advising on intervention strategies or suggestions when approaching the topic of treatment with loved ones, clients, or employees (E.g., the ‘Dos’ & ‘Don’ts’)
  • Discussing treatment options and assessing if Sage Health Centre is an appropriate choice for treatment
  • Advising on obtaining medical/supervised detoxification prior to entering treatment

Prior to admission, prospective clients will undergo a confidential phone intake-screening with one of our admissions coordinators.

During phone screening, prospective clients will be:

  • assessed for treatment readiness and appropriate fit for treatment with us based on their substance use and medical history;
  • be given recommendations on obtaining inpatient medical/supervised detoxification if required;
  • be provided an admission date (admissions may occur 7 days per week; a minimum of 5 days abstinence is required for intake).

Our coordinators will assist with suggesting and finalising travel options.

Clients may be escorted to treatment by family, friends, or coworkers; or clients are permitted to drive themselves to treatment. Self-driving clients are welcome to stay parked in our secure parking area.

For clients arriving by bus or air travel, Sage Health Centre staff will pick up and escort them directly to treatment.

After admission, clients will:

  • Be provided a program and guideline orientation
  • Complete a clinical assessment with one of our addictions counsellors to begin the process of customizing treatment goals
  • Receive a medical assessment by one of our medical professionals as clients will be under our physician’s medical care while in treatment.
